What a Week! I started the week standing next to my client Nick as he faced up to life in prison an an aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 years old charge. Nick himself is a young man and had no record, but the prosecutor pushed hard for prison time. I dug in, investigated, and worked tirelessly with Nick and ultimately got him deferred probation.
Today I got to put a dismissal in the hands of my client Francene. Francene had called the police herself when a dangerous man wouldn’t leave her apartment. Instead of helping her the police arrested her and charged her with a felony. I fought and found for Francene and today got her charge completely dismissed.
Like I said, what a week!
