Our client was charged with both conspiracy and possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance (methamphetamine). The government tried to hold them responsible for more methamphetamine than what he actually possessed, and we were able to get the judge to see that and side with us.

More importantly, we convinced the judge that out client had a long-standing drug problem arising from a very rough childhood. That led the judge to grant a downward variance from the sentencing guidelines, saving the client 7 and a half years in federal prison.
