There’s been talk for a while, but Dawson State Jail (which sits across Commerce from the Frank Crowley Courts Building and Lew Sterrett Jail) is finally closing. The Dallas Morning News reported this morning on the last Dawson inmates being led out of the building, to be transferred to other facilities.
