I was elated when the jury said the two words my client Jermell Charlo and I had hoped to hear for past many months: “NOT GUILTY!” There’s been a lot of media coverage (Dallas Morning News; ESPN; LA Times; PR Newswire, KRLD, Sporting News, to name just a few). We knew Jermell was wrongfully accused but he literally had to put his career on the line as well as his personal freedom when he turned down a multitude of plea bargain offers and had his day in court. I’m so proud to have successfully steered this man through the perils that the criminal justice system throws at the citizen accused.
