Our client was arrested for threatening to shoot himself and then pointing a gun at his wife. Even though she knew it wasn’t loaded and only called police to get him mental health help, the police arrested him instead of giving him the help he so desperately needed. The complicating factor was that our client didn’t even realize that he had mental health issues that he desperately needed to address. We were able to help him see that he needed help, then got him that help. We got him into a mental health diversion program that led to his case being dismissed and all records related to the case expunged.
