Our client was a professional with a good job and a lot to lose. After having one too many Velvet Hammer beers, he got into an argument with his wife. He didn’t remember what happened after that, expect that he woke up in jail. We took a proactive approach which involved interviewing his wife, drafting an affidavit, and getting our client into a comprehensive treatment program that included not just alcohol treatment but marital counseling and anger management. We presented all this to the intake prosecutor and convinced them to reject the case before it was even filed, leaving our client eligible for a full expunction.
